With the amalgamation of the NW communities of Bowness, Triwood, West Hillhurst, Thorncliffe, Thornhill and Hungtington Hills in the fall of 1988, NW Ringette Association was officially formed.

In it's first year of inception NW Ringette carried 7 teams from Petite to Junior. Today (2008/09 Season), NW Ringette Association registers 427 athletes to make 31 teams including two Open Level Teams.
